The aims of this session are to gain a clearer understanding of: Parent Councils, the Scottish Schools (Parental Involvement) Act 2006, the importance of a Parent Council constitution, key roles and responsibilities of a Parent Council and a focus on the opportunities and importance of working together with parents and the Parent Council.
- Co-Production for School Improvement
This session will cover: what co-production means, why parents matter, the role of parents, the Parent Forum and the Parent Council, challenges and barriers and the importance of working beyond the school gate.
