Connect is running a survey to help inform our response to the National Discussion. We are not repeating the same broad questions of the National Discussion - instead, we want to hear your views on specific aspects of education and we also want to hear about your direct experiences. You can find the survey here, and it closes 27 November 2022.
Slides from the event hosted by Connect and the National Parent Forum of Scotland on Wed Nov 9 2022 at 7.30pm are available here. The Jamboard of the event, created by the National Discussion team, is available here.

The Scottish Government and COLSA are holding a National Discussion on Scottish Education. They want to hear from children and young people, parents and carers, teachers and anyone with an interest in education to develop a vision for the future of education in Scotland.
This is a very broad discussion, seeking views on topics including what kind of education will be needed in the future, how to make sure children and young people are supported in their learning, and how to make sure everyone involved has a say in future decisions and actions.
You can find the Scottish Government’s survey here and more information about the Discussion here.
The Scottish Government has produced guides for group discussions. Are you a member of a Parent Council/PTA or other parent group? You could hold an event to help gather parent views at your school using this guide.
Parents and carers, you can also use these guides to support your child to share their views with the consultation:
You can also share your views on Twitter using the hashtag #TalkScottishEducation
The National Discussion will conclude 5 December 2022.
