Connect's Executive Director, Gavin Yates, responds to the Scottish Government publication of consultation findings:
'We're pleased to see the publication of this report, analysing survey responses to the Scottish Government 2023 consultation on Prescribing the Minimum Annual Number of Learning Hours. Connect surveyed parents as part of the consultation and parents overwhelmingly supported the proposed minimum learning hours.
Recent proposals to reduce school hours by some local authorities have understandably greatly alarmed parents. We now look forward to the Scottish Government setting out its response to the consultation results and taking action on this.'
