The first Connect Conversation session launched in December 2023, igniting a spark of connection, camaraderie, and a shared sense of purpose among attendees. Bringing together individuals from diverse roles within parent groups, these sessions aim to be a vibrant forum for fostering relationships, exchanging ideas, and laying the foundation for a supportive community. Our conversation at this inaugural session focused on how to connect parent groups within local authorities.
The session was full of enthusiasm, we engaged in meaningful conversations, leveraging the varied experiences of attendees to support one another. One of the conversation's highlights was the organic flow of ideas that transcended boundaries. Common ground was found despite our differing roles and locations within various local authorities. It is hoped that these sessions will act as a bridge, connecting individuals from different walks of life who share a common goal: to enhance their roles within their school and wider communities, with the key outcome of optimal parent engagement in school communities.
Connect Conversations will be an environment conducive to open discussion and mutual support, building a sense of belonging and community beyond geographical limitations.
