Improving food choices - St Francis Primary School, Glasgow

Improving the understanding of food choices on health and wellbeing

As part of the Partnership Schools Scotland programme, the Action Team for Partnership at St Francis PS helped to organise food hygiene training for parents and staff.

The school asked a group of parents to take part in cookery classes with their child. These 'Big Cook, Little Cook' sessions were really popular and everyone was delighted to use produce from the school garden.  For some of the children it was the first time they had tasted fresh fruit and vegetables.
