Parents and carers are warmly invited to join this free event which runs from 8-9pm - please book your place below. Hosted by Connect, this live online session will include presentations from the My Rights, My Say team, including lawyer Iain Nisbet on children's rights under the Education (Additional Support for Learning) (Scotland) Act 2004. The presentations will be followed by a Q & A session.
PLEASE NOTE: The session is only an hour long and is intended to give broad information, rather than give advice for individual situations.
My Rights, My Say helps children aged 12 to 15 with additional support needs to use their rights and have a say in decisions about their education.
Iain Nisbet is an education lawyer who specialises in helping families to secure the support their children need in school.
Talking Points for Parents is an opportunity for parents and carers to hear about current issues and topics which are relevant to families, children and young people. Presentations from guests will be followed by a Q and A session.
