What is a Parent Council and what can it do for a school? Who can be a member? Who is the Parent Council responsible to? Take part in our live quiz (don’t worry, it’s anonymous!) and bust some myths about Parent Councils. This session will cover:
- The Role of the Parent Council (PC) - within legislation; representing and reporting to Parent Forum; developing policies and decision making
- The PC’s responsibilities - meetings, constitution, funds
- The Role of Head Teacher – as adviser to PC
- The Role of Local Authority – supporting PCs
