This session is open to all Connect Members; parents/carers, the Parent Council, Head Teachers, and educators. Whether you are new to Parent Councils, and School Improvement Planning, or already experienced, this session offers useful information and the chance to reflect and review on how School Improvement works in your school community.
The session will explore:
- What is a School Improvement Plan
- Law and policy surrounding Improvement Plans
- What is a parent council, and the role and rights of parents and parent councils is improvement planning
- How parents and parent councils can get involved in improvement planning
- The benefits of parent involvement in improvement planning
