Scottish Parliament Education and Skills Committee Inquiry on the impact of poverty on Attainment and Achievement

Read Connect's submission to the Scottish Parliament's Education and Skills Committee Inquiry on the impact of poverty on Attainment and Achievement here.

Our submission draws on our Parents' Voice survey of views on, and experiences of, the impact of poverty on families and the available support.

We used the information gathered from the survey to give evidence on
- the impact of poverty on children's learning and attainment
- the support and strategies that are available to help families
- how effective this support is.

You can read the transcript of the Committee session at which Connect's Eileen Prior gave evidence here.  More information on the Committee's call for evidence is available here.

Our full report on the detailed responses that we received from our Parents' Voice participants is available here.  We hope that schools and Parent Councils will use this report to consider what more can be done in their local contexts to help families,
