Connect Survey on Support for Families Facing Poverty and Free School Meals

We are currently conducting a Parents’ Voice online survey to look at the levels of support available to families experiencing poverty and also to find out about parent and Parent Council understanding of the free school meals process.

We will use the responses to provide evidence to the Scottish Parliament's Education and Skills Committee on
- the impact of poverty on children's learning and attainment
- the support and strategies that are available to help families
- how effective this support is.

If your family has experienced poverty and its impacts, or if your school or Parent Council has effective support strategies to help families in poverty, please complete our survey.

We are also asking about free school meals - do you know what the criteria are for getting free school meals? Have you applied for and received free school meals? Does your Parent Council encourage and support parents in accessing free school meals for their children?

Please share your views and experiences - we need your input!
